Nursing Leadership:

From the Bedside and Beyond

Presented by Jane Hirsch, RN, MS, NEA-BC

“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, you are a leader!”

                                                                                                 John Quincy Adams, 1767-1848

Each of us has the ability to take control of our own work, while contributing to the overall mission of our organizations.   EVERY nurse is a leader, not just those in formal leadership positions. We need to understand how to nurture our leadership abilities, so we can learn to speak with confidence, influence others in a positive manner, and impact the quality and safety of patient care and our environments. During this session, you will work on your personal leadership skills through a special leadership inventory, discuss elements of leadership with peers, and learn how to strengthen to leader within you.  Our profession needs us all.

Registration closes Friday, November 20, 2009
